Subject: We love our Schnoodle!!!
Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2007 9:27 PM
Hi Carol and Jim,
Sorry that we haven't written to you in over a year to tell you how much we absolutely love our schnoodle, Benny (Jim said that he called him Alfie). He was born on Feb. 2, 2005 (the same day that our other dog had to be "put to sleep"), and we picked him up on May 26, 2005 after calling you that week and discovering that he was available because someone decided that they didn't want him. Well, they must have been crazy because he is the most wonderful dog that we've ever had! We truly feel that he was destined to be a part of our family.
He is the third dog that we've had. We have been blessed with a miniature schnauzer (who was wonderful) for 13 years and a large Benji-looking "mutt" for about 13 years who was also just great. Benny is, however, the most perfect dog ever. There is not one thing that we would change about him. He is extremely playful, friendly, affectionate (really cuddly), very smart and the most easily trained dog that we've ever had. Our two daughters (ages 17 and 21) have taught him countless tricks and he just loves to learn. We have four large dogs in our extended family and he gets along beautifully with each one. He loves our son's dog and they play like two little boys. He is extremely patient with our nieces' children and absolutely loves my piano students (they all love him, too). We have also been told that he is the "perfect gentleman" and house guest when friends or relatives have taken him for a few days while we have been away. Doug's family has a camp in NH and Benny just loves riding in the motor boat (with his life jacket on, of course) and is a very good swimmer. We can't imagine life without him as he as brought tremendous joy to our family.
We think that he's a little larger than schnoodles generally are but he is exactly the size that we were looking for. He measures 16 inches tall at his shoulders and he is between 17 and 18 lbs. We didn't get him until he was almost 4 months old and often wish that we had known him sooner because he must have been the cutest little guy ever.
We want to say "thank you" for the wonderful job that you do in breeding such great dogs.
We noticed that your website is considerably more extensive than it was in 2005. It looks great and it is very informative. We have never received any information concerning the yearly reunions but would be very interested in attending the 2007 reunion. Please keep us posted when the information becomes available. We will keep an eye on the website as well.
We are including a few of the many pictures that we have of Benny. We would also be happy to act as references and talk to any perspective schnoodle parents.
Thanks again,
Alice-Marie, Doug, Carolyn and Anjali Marble

Dear Carol,
How are you? Hope your Lyme's disease isn't too bad. I am writing you to see if we could get a copy of the photo you took on the day we picked up our puppy - september 17th. I checked the web site and didn't see our picture. Are the pictures in date order? I was curious to see our puppy's littermates.
Cashew, our dog, is a delight. He is the perfect puppy. He is friendly, affectionate, even-tempered, smart, playful but not crazy, easy to train, and doesn't chew things that aren't his. He loves both people and other dogs. I can't say enough good things about him. He is a wonderful addition to our family.
We were also wondering how tall at the shoulder Millie and Polo are so we can better predict how tall he will be. We took Cashew on the plane with his carrier at Christmas time but if he gets much taller he won't fit under the seat. We are planning a trip in April and are trying to figure out if we should reserve a space for him. He is 13 inches at the shoulder now - at 5 1/2 months old.
We recommend your kennel all the time.
Take care

Dear Carol, It's been quite a while since I've written. I just went on you web site and went into "Owners and Pups" and on Page 10... there we were, the first picture, with Charley who will be 3 years old March 15. You have no idea how much we love him... to the point that if anyone dares to call him a "dog", we get highly insulted. He's our family and sweet and loveable as can be. My husband, who wasn't too happy at first about getting a dog is in love with him. I never thought I'd see the day when he would let Charley kiss him on the mouth... but that's what it's come to! My daughter is thinking about getting a cockapoo so she may be contacting you shortly. Her name is Ramie Friedman Bond. Hope all is well with you. Your
Cape Cod friend, Bette Friedman (by the way, Charley is as smart as they come and makes us laugh a lot because he's so expressive.)

Carol,
Five years ago I adopted my beautiful Cockapoo puppy from you, and I just wanted to let you know what an amazing little dog he is! I am sending you the picture you first sent me when he was just a little 8-week-old baby [left] and I'm also sending a picture of him now as a grown-up five-year-old boy [right].
He grew to be 21 pounds and has always been in great health. He picked his own name... Tucker... but that's a long story I'll save for some other time. He is incredibly smart, full of personality and does an astounding "Tigger bounce". He is an absolute joy, and we all love him to pieces!
I hope you enjoy seeing his baby picture and grown up mug shot.
Thanks for sharing your great Cockapoos with the world.
Regards from Tucker and his Mom, Sandy

Dear Carol,
Weezy is the most amazing puppy. He is extremely trainable, affectionate, loyal, easy going & playful. He is a joy to be around. We are all totally in love with him. Everyone who sees him says he is the cutest & nicest dog they've ever seen. What a gr8 temperament!!! He really is beautiful! Weezy has a bunch of good buddies who he loves to play with. There are 4 cockapoos in our neighborhood, but he loves to play with all dogs. Weezy sends his love & regards to you & Jim. Thanks again for breeding such an awesome dog!!!

Hi Carol & Jim,
I wanted to drop a quick note to tell you how much we love our new puppy. He has the sweetest, kindest, most gentle personality. He loves to be held and cuddled. He is gentle with all the kids. He has adapted to being in the crate at night well. During the days, he is usually with someone friendly and playing. He travels well and is happy to meet new people. He is really a joy to have in our family.
Thank you so much. And I hope this note finds you in good health.
Best, Robin deGrasse

Subject: Buddy is a star!
Date: Sun, 1 Jul 2007 16:03:25 -0400
Buddy is doing great. He is so lovable and very affectionate. He follows me around the house and sleeps next to my desk chair in the office. He now weighs 4.4 pounds, a gain of almost a pound in 10 days. He's eating up a storm and getting lots of exercise, indoors and out everyday.
Our vet saw him last week and found him to be in great shape. He's doing another Giardia test just to be sure he's okay in that dept. (since our other dog's immune system was compromised by chemotherapy.)
Yesterday Buddy learned to climb up the stairs but can't climb down yet. He's put his paws in the ocean, but is still wary of the water a little. He's played with several children of different ages, loves his toys and is very happy in his crate at night, sleeping from 11PM to 5:30 AM. This week he's going to get together with a miniature schnauzer puppy the same age for puppy socialization. He gets another round of shots this week as well.
Housebreaking is going well. We know when he needs to go out now and that if we don't catch him, he prefers rugs! So we picked up the area rugs on the first floor for a few weeks.
Most importantly, he and Rio, our Portie, just love each other. Rio is very gentle with him, they play together with stuffed toys, and chase each other in the yard and on the beach. Rio is also very tolerant of Buddy's puppy behaviors of nipping and jumping on him. Things are working out just as we had hoped with them.
He is a great addition to our family! (See attached picture):
Sincerely,
Bev

Hi, Carol--
Sorry I haven't written since that first, early note. Time flies! Even though I haven't written you about Augie, we have been spending a lot of time with him! He's wonderful. The vet has remarked on how healthy and well-constructed he is. She has also talked about his wonderful personality. She said she has seen more than a few aggressive cockapoos-- too bad not everyone can get a cockapoo from you! Augie is sleeping on my lap right now as I type this. But he is also so full of energy. He loves to run around the backyard-- and he's so fast! One time, when his feet were muddy, he ran onto the driveway, then decided he wanted to turn around and go back to the lawn. Well, he had come onto the driveway and stopped so fast before he turned around that he left big muddy skid marks. The kids were laughing, and saying that Augie's the only dog that leaves skid marks. And remember how when I wrote you the first couple of emails to tell you what we were looking for in a dog, I mentioned that we wanted one who would play fetch with the kids? Well, Augie is a natural at it, and he loves to do it. We throw that rope toy that was in the puppy kit and say, "Go! Fetch!" and he does. Then we say, "Good fetch! Bring it back!", and he brings it back. He doesn't always drop it for us: He has to give it some shakes first. But it's wonderful. He covers everyone in kisses in the morning. And when the kids come home from school, they sit down on the ground, and he runs back and forth between them kissing them.
On a more practical note, he's also a great family dog because he doesn't get startled by all the noises and activity. The broom sweeping close to him, the sound of the vacuum, kids piling into the house-- it's all fine with him. The house-training is settling in a rhythm. Augie's smart, and he understands it. There was a point early on when I felt overwhelmed by it. But now it's clearly just a matter of time-- however many weeks or months that turns out to be-- before he's completely house-trained. It's amazing to me (not you, of course) how fast a puppy changes in a month.
I want to send you a new photo of Augie, but Michael has to load them onto the computer. I hope to send you one this weekend. I also tried and failed to figure out how to register for your chat group (I know, I'm hopeless at that stuff), so I want to get Michael to register me for that, too.
Anyway, I need to run. Thank you again for a great, great dog.
Best,
Ellen

Hi, Carol--
You may most definitely use my testimonial on your website! And I promise to get Michael to show me how to attach photos this weekend. Augie continues to be THE best dog in the world. To him, everybody coming toward him on the street is just a new friend he hasn't met yet. He loves kids and they love him. When he's running around outside, sometimes he gets so happy that he jumps really high, right over my daughter or one of her friends when they're sitting down on the grass. He went to the beach with us for two weeks. And every night that Michael watches soccer on TV, Augie is right by his side, keeping him company. We swear that he even smiles now, just like a person. We LOVE him. Thank you for picking out such a wonderful puppy for us.
Best,
Ellen
