WELL IT IS JUST A YEAR THAT I LET THAT OLD KISSING DOCTOR AND HIS WIFE INTO MY LIFE. WOW DID I GIVE IT TO THEM ALL LAST WINTER: I ET THEIR SLIPPERS, CHEWED EVERY RUG IN THE HOUSE, PEED ON EVERY BIT OF BROADLOOM THEY HAD JUST INSTALLED, JUMPED ON EVER GUEST THAT CAME INTO THE HOUSE, BIT MY DADS FINGER TO PIECES, ATE $150 ONE-HUNDRED-YEAR-OLD MEDICAL BOOK, TRIED TO EAT MY DAD'S EXPENSIVE CELLO, WOULD NOT SLEEP IN MY CAGE FROM THE FIRST NIGHT ON AND NOW I LET THE OLD MAN INTO MY WARM BED IN MY MASTER BEDROOM IF HE KISSES ME FIRST!
WE WALK EVERY DAY AT WELLESLEY COLLEGE AND I PICK UP ALL THE GIRLS WHO GOO GOO OVER MY CUTE FACE, I SWIM IN THE LAKE WITH MY MOM SCREAMING "COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW OR....." AND I LUV MUD, DED FRUGS AND SMELLY JUNK AND ALL THAT CRUDDY STUFF. WHY I HAVE HAD ALMOST A SHAMPOO EVERY DAY! UCH!
THE OLD GUY USE TO THREATEN ME EVERY DAY THAT THE BUDDY TRUCK WAS COMING FOR ME, BUT I FAKED THEM OUT WITH AN OCCASIONAL KISS. I REALLY KNOW HOW TO FOOL THEM INTO BEING "JUST ECSTATIC" WITH ME. THE OLD GUY LOVES ME TO BITS AND I AM SORTA GETTING USED TO IT. THAT AND STEAK, AND HUGS, AND A WARM BED, AND A CAPE COD VACATION HOUSE AND LOTS OF LOVING FAMILY EVERY DAY I GUESS I WILL STAY AROUND A BIT. BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE WARNED ME IT WOULD BE SO DELICIOUS LIVING WITH THEM.

WOOF YA LOTS, CAROL, FOR SUCH GREAT "MATCHMAKING"

Hi Carol,
Thank-you for raising the most wonderful dogs! We are truly in love with our puppy, Bruno, a choc/white Cockapoo who was born on 5/21/2001. We picked him up about 8 weeks later, and our lives have never been the same. Bruno has brought immense joy to us, and certainly has made our family "complete". No matter where I go with Bruno, people stop and inquire about him. The vet and groomer I take him to are constantly remarking about what a great dog he is. Bruno has such a loving, wonderful disposition, a true testatomial to your impeccable breeding. Thank-you for all your hard work, love and dedication. We have certainly benefitted from it, as our Bruno is purely a delight! I've attached a picture of my children with Bruno on Lake Wallenpaupack in PA. Sincerely, Michelle, Nick, Nicholas, John and Kristen.

Hi, Carol -- Truffle (that appears to be her name) is VERY healthy and very cute, according to her vet. We were pretty sure of the first and certain of the second, but it's nice to have them both confirmed. She is EXTREMELY adventurous and a joy to have around. We'll update you soon.
Happy/merry,

Hi Carol,
Just wanted to wish you and all the fine folks at Mulberry Farm a wonderful holiday season, and the best of health in 2002!
Harley is now 6 months old and the complete joy of my life. She is trained, a few "accidents" here and there, but for the most part she is at the point of signaling me when she has to go out, and that is so great! I can't tell you how many people have told me that she is the prettiest puppy they have ever seen, but I know that you have heard that so many times before. I will have to send you a photo of her after the holidays. Please keep us in mind that I would like to get a "sister" for her in the springtime, a darker color. She is such a wonderful addition to our household, that I would like to get another one.
Again, have a great time this holiday season, and if you are not too busy, drop me a line. Take care...

Hi Carol,
Chipper (the black/white Cockapoo) has easily integrated himself into our family. He was given a clean, healthy, happy and mellow "seal of approval" from the vet. He completely charmed the vet! He was very impressed with him, how easy-going, happy and social he was on his very first visit. And of course, everyone who meets him cannot believe how cute and adorable he is. What a face! The other good news is that after the first day, he got comfortable in his crate! In fact, he sleeps peacefully through the whole night. As long as he is in the same room as people, he is happy. I take him (in his crate) with me where ever I go. Luckily, he LOVES the car. And I love his company! So, that's the news here. Thank you again so much for everything! I hope that your friend is doing well and that you are enjoying the holiday season.
Fondly, Deborah and the Todisco Family

Hi Carol,
I hope that you enjoyed the holidays and that you have a very Happy New Year! I also just wanted to let you know how Chipper is doing. We have had him home with us now for three weeks, and we can't imagine what life was like without him! Everywhere he goes he "breaks hearts", he is so friendly, sweet, and adorable! He LOVES to be cuddled, and he loves to run around and play. The other day, he scratched on the door that goes out to "his area" to let us know he needed to go out! How is that for house broken??! Not bad, I'd say, for just three weeks! Anyway, thank you again, and we hope all is well with you and yours. Take Care,

Hi Carol, Jim, and everyone at the Mulberry Farm.
Carol, I had a conversation with a customer recently that has me steaming and so I just wanted to write a letter to share with your potential adoptive families.
I was on the phone last week with a customer and somehow we got on the subject of pets. Turns out she shows her dogs. I mentioned how delighted I was with our Cockapoo, "Emma", we got this summer from Mulberry Farm. "Oh, you mean a puppy mill," she replied. As a professional, I couldn't say what was really on my mind, but I would like to do so now.
Our twelve-year-old daughter, Callie, was very sad about her sister moving out of the house last summer to go to college. My husband and I both felt that a puppy would help bring back some excitement and joy into the house. We were not sure how to go about getting a puppy and so we contacted a veterinarian who came highly recommended. He offered excellent tips on what to look for in a breeder. Such as:
- Are the parents on the premises? If so, are they happy and playful and well-kept?
- Will the breeder let you look at the mom and puppies where they sleep and play?
- Is their cage roomy and clean?
- Do they offer health records and the name of the vet who has treated them so far?
With this knowledge, I set out to visit breeders. I must tell you that I had one experience where I wished I had not brought along my younger daughter. This particular breeder advertised a much lower fee and since we are budget-minded, we decided to give it a shot. When we knocked on the door, we were instructed to go wait in a certain room and they would bring the puppies to us. The first thing I noticed was the horrific stench coming from the lower level of the house. I asked if I could see the mother and they said she was at a partner's house and repeated that we must wait for them to bring the puppies to us. When they finally brought them upstairs, I could have cried. They were SO afraid and cowered under the table. I asked if they had any others, and then attempted to follow them when they went to get more. They rudely told me to "Stop!", and that I had to wait in the upstairs-room for the puppies to be brought to me. I knew instinctively this was what the vet warned me to watch out for -- a puppy mill. These are "people" who do not give a damn about the animals in their care. I grabbed my daughter and got out of there fast!!
When I came upon Mulberry Farm's website, I was excited to see it "in person"... it's just an hour away from my home. Our visit included the "grande tour" (we never had to ask.) Carol's puppies jumped up excitedly every time we walked into the room and when you picked them up, they licked your face clean! The puppies and mom were "not hidden away somewhere", they were right in the house with the rest of "the Family". I mentioned to Carol that Callie was busy earning the money to pay for her puppy. (My husband and I both felt this would give Callie the "discipline" necessary to take care of a pet.) When Carol suggested that Callie spend part of her summer [in lieu] working at the farm, we jumped at the chance. What better way to learn about puppies?! I accompanied Callie on several occasions, and I can tell you firsthand... this is one special place. Pets come before people here. At the crack of dawn, all cages and kennels are cleaned, and pets are fed. After they're taken care of, you can take a break, freshen up and have breakfast. Here, Carol and Jim go over the list of things to do that day. Callie got to work with the veterinarian and the vet technician. She bathed the puppies, helped give medicine, and was even treated to kennel clean up! The whole experience was one we will never forget. I trusted Carol with one of my most prized "possessions" and in turn she gave me one of hers to take home! Emma has been a "delight" for the whole family. For those of you who feel the need to criticize, I ask, "Could you hold up to a mother's scrutiny?" Carol and the folks at Mulberry Farm can!

Dear Carol,
There are not words to fully describe how wonderful it is to have "Coco" here... the moment I saw his picture, in the litter, I felt he was born to be my dog. :o) I think he thinks so too. I would have flown even further than I did to get him! And it is a "fer" piece from New Mexico to New York; however, worth EVERY mile!
What a great dog he is, how much fun he has made my life... so full of joy, love and happiness, there is no way to have a grumpy day with him here. He is so smart, learning so much... he loves it, has the routines down pretty well by now... only three months old. Sometimes because he is so smart, and learns so quickly I have to remember that he is still just a little puppy, and not expect too much, although he always comes up with the goods.
I cannot possibly come up with enough good words to tell you what a wonderful job you do breeding these "first-class" dogs... it is a privilege to own one. Oh, and referring to his "First Class Status"... as I told you, when we flew home, the airline people fell in love with him, and bumped me up into the First Class section, so they could see him, and visit every now and then... so he is definitely my "First Class Dog". They all wanted him!!
Thank you Carol, I hope you have a super Holiday, and that Jim is doing well too..."Hi" Jim.
Love, Sue and of course "Coco" sends his little "woof" too.

Dear Carol
We hope everything is well with you this holiday season. We're having a blast with Macie! Here are is a nice pic for you. It's so hard to believe that this is the same boy who was very frightened of dogs 6 months ago! As you will see, Thomas and Macie are very comfortable with each other. She flops in his lap like a mop! There is also a pic of her making sure that Mike is "doing a good job" vacuuming the needles from the x-mas tree. Macie has been a wonderful addition to our family!
Have a happy and healthy New Year!
Love,
Mike, Janice, Thomas and Macie Walker

Dear Carol,
I just wanted to let you know...
Two years ago, we bought a Cockapoo from you as a birthday {gift} for our daughter's birthday. My daughter named her Elizabeth. We never had the heart to keep her in the crate for any length of time. At night my husband and I (we alternated between her and our nine-month old son) took turns sleeping on the living room floor next to the crate so that we could take care of her immediately if she was upset. If we went anywhere, we insisted that she had to come with us or stay with my parents until she no longer needed the crate (once we even hired a sitter to take her for walks a few times because my parents weren't available and we couldn't get out of our obligation). Now that she no longer needs a crate I rush home from work at 2:00p.m., so that she can have a 40 minute walk with me before I pick up my daughter from school and my son from nursery school. Recently, I read an article about agility classes on Long Island, because I thought she would like it the whole family went to the first class to check it out and to cheer her on. She was a natural! So now, because she loved it so much, my husband and I look forward to taking turns bringing her (my son- who is now three- got a little antzy after awhile). Elizabeth is well-loved and adored. I thought you would be happy to know.
Sincerely thanking you,
Patty.
